![]() The remaster uses much brighter lighting and jello-like textures on the character models, which take away most of the atmosphere of the originals. They were some of the least detailed character models of their time, but because of the art style, they looked good and certainly don't look terrible today. GTA III and VC used darker, understated colours, motion blur and clever use of black lines to make their character models look realistic. JSRF used cell-shaded art to keep the art looking good throughout the years. It's slightly similar to why Jet Set Radio Future's graphics are timeless even on the old Xbox. But it changes the art style drastically. The detail of the character models and quality of the lighting are better, that's no doubt.
